A Power BI dashboard for NSW Health on mental-health inequities in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Overview
Built a Power BI dashboard for NSW Health (with Dr Hassan Assareh) addressing mental-health inequities in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, bringing social determinants and mental-health indicators together into a view policymakers could use. Aggregated and harmonised fragmented data from government health records, community surveys and public-health reports into a single picture, which surfaced the regions with the largest service gaps.
Designed the dashboard so non-technical stakeholders could explore trends on their own, translated the data into prioritised findings that fed NSW Health resource-allocation decisions, and worked with healthcare providers and policymakers to keep the outputs aligned to community needs.
